The Ocean County Sheriff's Department arrested six Brick residents in August.
County-wide, 115 people were arrested, 33 of whom were wanted in connection with outstanding child support obligations totaling $493,999.90. Two others were fugitives from justice.
The Brick residents arrested include:
- 8/2/12 – Gregory Miller, 53, of Jason Place was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives M. Groesch on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $2,470.00. Miller was processed, paid a reduced amount with the approval of the Ocean County Probation Department and subsequently released.
- 8/7/12 – Richard S. Carroll Jr., 34, of Commodore Drive was charged by Sheriff’s Detective S. Metta with being a Fugitive of Justice from Monroe County, State of Pennsylvania where he faces charges of violation of probation on original charges of theft and receiving stolen property. Carroll was lodged in the Ocean County Jail, pending extradition back to the State of Pennsylvania.
- 8/7/12 – Richard J. Huffman, age 49, of Rachel Court was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Stark and P. Sickinger on 3 Ocean County Superior Court Warrants for failure to pay child support in the amount of $107,214.97. Huffman was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.
- 8/9/12 – Daniel P. Lenneper, 52, of Kenneth Place was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Johnson, P. Williams, R. Stark and P. Sickinger on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $8,032.23. Lenneper was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.
- 8/13/12 – Wayne M. Adams, 49, of Pine Hammock Road was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives P. Williams and S. Metta on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to appear for a pre arraignment interview on original charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Adams was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $2,500.00 bail.
Sheriff’s Detectives/US Marshals R. Trainor and T. Duffy also arrested Imere Meredith, 19, of Sawmill Road, who was wanted in connection with a shooting in Toms River.
