Brick Resident Indicted on Forgery Charge
Monmouth County Grand Jury hands down indictment
Monmouth County Prosecutors brought former Marlboro Police Chief Robert Holmes, 64, into the courtroom on Thursday, two years after the former officer had been indicted. Holmes is accused of allegedly sexually abusing a local girl for two years, by serving her alcohol before allegedly sexually abusing her from the time the alleged victim was 12 to 14-years old.

John E. Dew, a 39-year-old Brick resident was indicted on two counts by a Monmouth County Grand Jury this week.
Dew was indicted on one count of third degree uttering a forged instrument - the legal term used for a charge of signing another person's name to a document. According to the indictment, on or about May 10 Dew is alleged to have attempted to use counterfeit money in Howell Township.
Dew was also indicted on one count of third degree theft by deception for attempting to illegally get gift cards and merchandise worth more than $500 from the Walmart.
