Brick Police Seize Heroin, Catch Fugitive
Police recover 411 bags of heroin after pulling over a vehicle
Brick police officers found 411 bags of heroin in a vehicle they stopped over the weekend, leading to the arrest of an Atlantic City man.
They later captured the man's brother, who was wanted by Toms River police.
Officers stopped a silver Chevy Impala being driven by Hasan Singleton, 35, on Chambers Bridge Road Saturday afternoon around 4:10 p.m. According to Capt. John Rein, Singleton was observed leaving a Second Street residence known to be frequented by a man wanted by Toms River Police regarding an incident involving a handgun.
After stopping the vehicle, officers found 411 bags of heroin and $3,700 in cash, Rein said.
Singleton, who is the brother of the man that was being sought by Toms River police, was placed under arrest and transported to Brick Police Headquarters.
A short time later, Rein said, another vehicle leaving the same residence was stopped by police near Jack Martin Boulevard. That vehicle was occupied by two men, including Hakim Singleton, 34, also of Atlantic City, who was wanted in Toms River.
In addition to being wanted by Toms River police, Hakim Singleton had an outstanding warrant out of Atlantic City, Rein said.
Hakim Singleton was placed under arrest and transported to Brick Police Headquarters, then transferred to Toms River police. Brick police seized $4,000 in cash they found on Hakim Singleton pending an ongoing investigation.
Hakin Singleton was eventually sent to the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm, according to jail records.
Hasan Singleton was charged with the manufacturing, dispensing or distribution of herion, and possessing a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was sent to the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail set by Brick Municipal Court Judge Robert LePore.

One just has to look to the past events that took place in Lakewood, to realize how their job could turn violent in a moments notice. They deserve our thanks & support despite the occassional poor judgement of afew. Does anyone know the particulars with a supposed recent suspended supervisor in the department ?

This crime problem only started when the Men In Black from Lakewood bought property in the Maple Leaf development, importing renters from Lakewood to implement their plan, what plan you may ask well it’s an old one in NYC it was called BLOCK BUSTING, that’s when a property is bought and is rented to undesirables which brings the area down as well as the property values get the picture! Than they buy up all the properties at a low price and rent out all the homes or tare them all down and build new homes for their own, nice people!

Daayyum. In some ways It's refreshing to be able to respond directly to a racist at heart.. even if on some random message board. In other ways, it's infuriating to know that you, along with your herd of 'disciples', spend your afternoons giving yourselves a pat on the back for merely existing while you sit here and degrade people you DON'T KNOW AT ALL.
