Brick Man, 30, Among Those Charged in Wall Drug Probe

Man arrested, then wanted on additional drug charges

 

A tip from a Wall Township resident led to the arrest of a group of people on various drug charges to begin the new year in that town, including a Brick man, police said.

Police were called to 2379 Peter Court, adjacent to the Edgar Felix Bike Path, around 10:30 p.m. Jan. 2 to investigate a suspicious person report, Sgt. Erik Ertle said.

There, property owner David Migliore, 50, told officers that he and two others were placing wildlife cameras on different locations of the 12-acre property, Ertle said.

Migliore was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Newark. He was escorted back to his home where police found heroin. Two others also were arrested: Rande Palmer, 34, of Peter Court, was arrested and charged with identity theft, hindering his own apprehension and possession of crack cocaine. Ryan Maas, 30, of Brick, was arrested and charged with hindering his own apprehension, possession of cocaine and three warrants totaling $10,500.

Migliore was released after posting $10,000 bail. Palmer was released with a summons. Maas was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $10,000 bail, Ertle said.

Police secured a search warrant for the Peter Court home and searched it the following day. As a result, Migliore was additionally charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park, possession of Oxycodone and possession of drug paraphernalia, Ertle said.

Migliore’s girlfriend, Amelia Alexander, 23, of Peter Court, was also charged with the same violations, Ertle said.

Maas was additionally charged with minor marijuana possession, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, Ertle said.

Samara Katz, 41, of Point Pleasant, was charged with minor marijuana possession, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, Ertle said.

Migliore and Alexander turned themselves in to Wall Township authorities on Monday, Jan. 11. Bail for each was set at $102,500. Both were released after a bond was posted. Katz and Maas are still wanted by authorities and bail has not been set, Ertle said.
