Brick: Family-Friendly Beaches

Beach badge prices, lifeguard hours

Brick Township's three ocean beaches are situated on the Barnegat Peninsula, south of Bay Head and Mantoloking and a few miles north of the mayhem of Seaside Heights. The beaches are family-oriented and generally include a healthy mix of locals and seasonal residents out for a good time. If you're in the mood for a view of the sunset on the way home, be sure to check out Bayview Park, directly opposite the town's main beach on the bayside of Route 35 South.

Brick also requires badges at Windward Beach Park, which is guarded and situated on the Metedeconk River off Princeton Avenue.

  • Beach badges: Seasonal badges are $25 before June 15 and $30 after June 15 and are good for Brick Township’s three ocean beaches along Route 35 and the bathing area at Windward Beach Park on Princeton Avenue.A daily wristband is $5. There are no weekly badges sold. Beachgoers who turn 65 before Sept. 1 can access the beach for free. A birth certificate or valid driver's license is required.
  • Lifeguard hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning June 13 through Labor Day.
  • Parking: Paid parking in designated lots. An annual parking sticker is $30. Meters are $1 per hour. A senior parking sticker is available for $15 at the township recreation office on Chambers Bridge Road.
  • Bathrooms: Facilities on site.
  • Food and drink: Food vendors, picnic facilities, on site. Used to Be's Bar and Grille located minutes north on Route 35, next to the First Aid Squad building.
  • Beach Bus: The township provides beach bus service for residents, stopping at many locations daily. Check out the township's website for routes, availability and age restrictions.
