Series of 3 green flashes in sky over Herbertsville Rd. just east of 70 would indicate transformer or wire problems I would think. Can JCP&L check out that area?

Talked to rep at JCP&L he said he had no idea why. Told me we were lucky we "had" power. There are no notes to why it happened. The gentleman on the line from FirstEnergy was very rude.

Does anyone have an idea when the Drum Point Road and Mandalay Road area will receive power. 10 days and counting. I realize the storm was devastating, however, this is 2012 not 1812. If nothing else there should be a projected time provided.

Yes, and with predicted temps in the high 20's over the next few days, we can watch our almost ruined houses go to complete shit as the pipes freeze and leak while we are evacuated.

I have a large oak in my front yard. The weight of the snow on it now is making a larger branch hang low, about 5' 6" away from the pavement. Who should I call? I don't want a large truck coming down and making it a bigger problelm.

East Princeton up to beaverdam got power on tonight. Certel from south Carolina are the guys working the problem. I imagine they will proceed west on Princeton tomorrow. We know where the problem is. Transformer in front of wherlen brothers needs to be replaced and some new wire run. It's not the substation to my knowledge

Live off of Herbertsville Road on Walnut Drive between 22nd and 23rd - area went dark around 5:30/6 PM. Talk of transformers down...again. Any news about this? We really didn't have bad enough weather yet for this to happen again...

Jim, that sounds about right. The marina was lit up like the forth of July during the hurricane. There was just an article on app saying jcpl said most people back by Saturday. Hope that true. Thanks for the info. Stay warm.

I live on Chatham/eastham. Just left at 6 because I have a one year old who cannot sleep in the freezing temps. I saw blue/green lights out of my kitchen window and then power went. I think it was a transformer.

JCP&L could have had a lot more work done if they didn't send those 7 non-union crews who drove here from Tampa, Fla. back home. JCP&L would not let them do any work here, NICE@@@@

Im off Princeton, closer to 88 and we had power yesterday around 7pm....then today around 9 it went out. Still sitting in the dark here....thanks JCP&L.

There are crews workin around the clock. Most crews work 7am till 11 pm. But there are overnight crews too just not as many. There are a lot of nonunion linemen and tree crews getting your lights back. And there are transformers available. I work out of the staging area in the blueclaws parking lot.

Looks like another tree took down a powerlines near cedarcroft. Good grief.
