Brick Township has given notice that the township council will meet this Tuesday, Nov. 13.
The meeting will take place at 3 p.m. at the municipal complex on Chambers Bridge Road.
An agenda for the meeting has not yet been posted. The announcement of the meeting was made Thursday afternoon.

They will continue to play games, each trying to get in the last jab. Times are rough, they're only going to get rougher. When we should be doing more with less, they try to position themselves & friends, forgeting the promises they made to get elected. Walk thru the MUA, you'd be surprised how many last names you'll recognize. Haven't seen one politican in Brick yet, that I'd vote for a second term.

I agree with you but please dont't forget our DPW workers who have gone over and beyond their job descriptions - the Director along with his Supervisor Staff, Office Staff and the hard working employees's have done a wonderful job. A job well done.

10%, are DPW employees being used to rescue/recover people? I heard that from a family member of a DPW employee. I thought you had to be certified/licensed for that. However, there is strength in numbers.

The Asbury Park Press reported on Wednesday that a Group of 16 from DPW did work beyond their normal job description - God Bless these Men as well as our Police, EMT's and OEM Office personal - Our prayer's and thanks go out to each and everyone of you.

I've heard there were numerous employees from many agencies that pitched and went beyond the call of duty to help their fellow citizens. I've also heard that their efforts were hampered when the Army truck assigned to the Brick MUA went "missing" during height of the rescue efforts. Is anyone going to investigate?

It's time that the Gilmore Firm be relaesed from their stronghold on Brick Government look what he allowed and approved at the Toms River Board of Education. I have not seen any RFP's posted for Legal Services for 2013 posted in the legal notices of the APP - when will our Government Officals learn to change their Professional Service Contracts for the betterment of our Township ?

Perhaps the Township should re-think where this meeting will take place. The court room that is usually used will not be able to handle the amount of people that will turn out for this meeting. This will not be the typical turnout of people complaining about their neighbor's trash or some other trivial matter.

@art you would think everyone who have tried to help would get a thank you Like you mentioned...with such terrible damage to many of our friends and families in our town people will try to find something to complain and point the finger..This isn't a political problem this was a terrible hit that we have never felt in jersey before and we can all thank God we didn't lose more folks from it..So why can't we just stay united and help recover not blaming the Republicans or Dem's for something they had nothing to do with..My heart and thank you go out to our Gov.Christie for the way he handled this mess..And a big THANK YOU..

The volunteers and personnel at the Brick Little League facility opposite Brick Memorial have done, and are doing, an outstatnding job providing, food, clothing, books, etc. to the residents and families in their time of need. The donations made have been generous, but more is always better than not enough in times like these. It seems that a 3:00 PM meeting is convenient for the politicians, (both partys) anyone who is working will be unable to attend; that of course excludes the double dippers who have two or more full time jobs and time to attend, you know who you are...
