Anthony Starego, the Brick Township Dragons kicker who, despite having autism, propelled his team to a number of victories this season, was featured at a Monmouth University basketball game Jan 31.
The game included a presentation on autism awareness.
Anthony took a half-court shot at halftime, threw out t-shirts and – as he often has been in recent months – was the star of the show.
The university also ran excerpts of an ESPN segment on Anthony on the arena's jumbo screen.
"If it helps one person, it's worth it," said Ray Starego, Anthony's father, after the event.
