An accident at the busy Brick intersection of state highways 70 and 88 was cleared by 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
The accident occurred around 2:40 p.m., according to scanner reports.
Reportedly, one accident victim was unconscious and required extrication from the vehicle in which he or she was riding, according to a report from the Breaking News Network, a service which monitors emergency communications.
At 3:15 p.m., police cars were just leaving the scene. A small overlay of sand remained in the roadway from the accident cleanup.

From what I was able to see (which wasn't much), it looked like an SUV was in the left Eastbound lane headed West on Route 70 and hit a car head on that was going East on Route 70. Hope everyone is okay.

Rt. 70 & 88 intersection--the old Laurelton Circle. As I previously said, bring the circles back. I do believe the only accidents that occurred were fender benders.

No I know about a drunk driver killing someone on that circle. Plus now a days people wouldn't know what to do @ a circle

I drive through the circle in sea girt to get to work each day.....you wouldn't believe the number of near misses I've seen. People drive like idiots in circles....no yielding, no observing the right of way. They are either way too cautious or totally barrelling through at top speed. Frightening.
