Larson Ford Provides Cash Donation to Benefit Victims of Hurricane Sandy
In keeping with the giving spirit of the holidays, Larson Ford kicked off 2013 by making an important donation to assist families and businesses impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
Earlier this year, Larson Ford submitted a check for $11,200 to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. The Fund, created by First Lady Pat Christie, was established to support rebuilding efforts here in the Garden State.
“Many of our employees and customers live in some of the hardest hit communities in Monmouth and Ocean Counties,” states Robert Larson, vice president, Larson Ford. “We’ve all heard the stories and seen the sadness in their faces, and we knew we needed to do something to help.”
For every vehicle sold during the month of December, Larson Ford donated $100 to the relief effort. After a strong sales month, the dealership was able to make a considerable donation to support the cause.
“When my grandfather started our dealership in 1956, he believed that every business has a responsibility to serve its local community. His passion for philanthropy was passed down to my father and is one that I look forward to upholding,” added Larson. “Our dealership understands how important it is to contribute to worthy causes like Hurricane Sandy Relief, in addition to other local initiatives that support our schools, shelters and churches. And I know the best way to honor my grandfather’s memory is to continue Larson Ford’s long-standing tradition of giving back to our employees, our customers and our community.”

Really? A whole $100 for every car sold? Oh yeah....these guys got hearts of gold!
That's $11,200 for a million dollars worth of advertising. Christ, they make that much on the mark up on one truck. Remind me to buy a Dodge!
