Brick Little League Goes Undefeated and Take MIT Title

The Brick Little League All Stars won the First Place Title in the 2011 Mason Invitational Tournament in Manchester on July 27,2011.
Brick played against other towns such as Jackson, Lacey, Beachwood and Toms River. In the 8 games that were played, including the final championship series, Brick scored 87 runs and allowed only 21 runs. The team ended the tournament with a batting average close to .500 with over 100 hits including 7 home runs. The team's defense and pitching were exceptional as well. Brick only committed 7 errors in all 8 games and the pitchers kept the other teams on their toes. Brick's pitchers stuckout 63 batters, allowing only 36 hits and 20 walks.
Brick Little League also took a couple of additional players awards that were presented. The 2011 MIT Slugger award was presented to Hunter Rizzuto and th MIT Cy Young award was presented to Noah DeAlmeida for his excellent pitching performance.
The boys played well and had a great chemistry that showed when they were on the field. It was a pleasure coaching them and watching them play

The coaches were Anthony Verdes, Dave Wilson and Gene DeAlmeida
